These are a few of my favorite things.....

I love you more than all the stars in the sky Jonathan. And being with you every minute of every day has given Mama the wonderful opportunity to get to know so many of your amazing qualities! And here are my most favorite little "things" about you so far (it's really everything about you :)...but I'm going to put these down on "paper" so I will always remember them!):

Your "touchdown" stretch after you're done eating and I am lifting you to my chest to burp. You scrunch up that little face, raise both arms as if signaling a touchdown - which I think you learned in utero and you certainly feel celebratory after eating SO much! :) - and then you sigh. I love it each and every time!!

How you still "fit" on my chest. Even though you are growing so fast, and now you are the full length of my torso, you still "fit". Oh how you will never know how very much I cherish this! It is a time that goes by too quickly! Soon you will be so big like your brothers, where Mama can barely lift you anymore, all big legs, big muscles, and HUGE! But for now, I am savoring every single minute you sleep on my chest, every single minute you lay there to burp, so contented. Your Mama is in heaven as much as you are!

Those little tufts of ear hair - one on the back edge of each ear!
These little tiny clumps of hair on the tiny little edge of your each of your ears are so small that I can't capture them with the camera (I have tried and tried!). And they are slowly falling out and disappearing :(. But every time I see them I smile....someday when you are in your 90's and Mama is up in heaven looking down on you, I bet you will grow hair on the edge of your ears again....maybe in these same spots....probably to your dismay...and I will be smiling, remembering how you had these tiny little tufts from the first moment you were born.

The long staring contests we have. How is it possible that someone so small can hold me in a trance. Your eyes are like a navy blue but sometimes look like those hurricane swirls on the radar. You and I are so connected and my most favorite moment of the day is when we are looking at each other and you suddenly break in to a huge smile! Mama wishes I could make you smile like that forever and ever!

Your little birdie noises which remind me, for lack of any better description, of the smallest little baby goose noises :) I've captured some of those noises on video :) but oh how I adore them. When you are happy or sad you sound like a little goose :) hee hee!

How you love to rest on your hands and arms. You did this in utero - we saw it so often on the ultrasounds - and we love when you lie on your side and rest your cheeks on your arm, or how you love to rest your chin on your folded arms while up on Mama's shoulder. You are too precious for words!
